1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the WA Translator Chrome extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

WA Translator is a Chrome extension that translates messages on WhatsApp Web in both directions, using Chrome's built-in AI models that run locally inside your browser. Features include but are not limited to:

  • A translate button on each received message
  • Automatic translation of incoming messages as they arrive
  • Automatic translation of outgoing messages when you press Enter or click send
  • Automatic source-language detection
  • Translation into any of 30+ target languages
  • Rendering the translation beneath the original message, leaving the original intact

3. Service Tiers

The Service is offered in two tiers:

  • Free Tier: Up to 30 translations per day using the translate button, in all supported languages.
  • Pro Tier: Unlimited translations per day, plus auto-translate for incoming messages and translate-on-send for outgoing messages — available through Monthly ($4.99/month), Annual ($29/year), or Lifetime ($49 one-time) plans.

4. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Comply with WhatsApp's and Meta's terms of service and all applicable laws
  • Not use the Service for unauthorized data collection, bulk messaging, spam, or any malicious activities
  • Not attempt to circumvent free-tier limits or technical restrictions
  • Accept that machine translation is imperfect, and take responsibility for the meaning of the messages you send
  • Respect the privacy of the people you are chatting with

5. Data Usage and Privacy

The Service processes the text of the messages you choose to translate inside your browser. Translation runs locally on your device. We do not:

  • Require, request, or store your WhatsApp account credentials or phone number
  • Upload your messages or translations to our servers
  • Collect your contacts, chat history, or the URLs you visit
  • Collect personal information beyond what is necessary for Pro subscription management (email and Pro access token)
  • Share your data with third parties, except for Stripe (payment processing) and Cloudflare (hosting)

6. Premium Subscription and Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate payment information
  • Authorize recurring charges for monthly or annual plans until cancelled
  • The pricing terms displayed at the time of purchase

Premium access tokens are for personal use only and may not be shared or transferred to other users.

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all premium plans. If you are not satisfied with the Service within 14 days of purchase, contact us at support@aikc.net for a full refund.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your premium subscription at any time. For monthly and annual subscriptions:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You retain premium access until the end of your paid period
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time

Lifetime subscriptions do not require cancellation and provide perpetual access.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
  • Compatibility with future versions of Chrome or WhatsApp Web
  • That every language pair is supported, since Chrome's built-in translation models do not cover every combination
  • Any specific accuracy of the translation, or any specific processing speed — both depend on Chrome's models and on your device's hardware

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or files
  • Actions taken by WhatsApp or Meta based on your use of the Service
  • Any consequences resulting from messages sent or read through the Service, including mistranslations

11. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
  • Update these Terms of Service with reasonable notice
  • Change pricing for new subscriptions

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Abuse of the Service or other users
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion
